From the seller

The Marantz Superscope EC-12B is a vintage electret condenser telescoping microphone, famously recognized as the iconic "Bob Barker mic" used by game show hosts like Bob Barker on The Price Is Right and Gene Rayburn on The Match Game. It has that look, but Bob actually used a similar Sony mic. It's a balanced, low impedance mic, 200 ohms. Very low handling noise. It's an omni, which is perfect for the kind of hand-held interview stuff Bob would do. With that long wand, you can get it very close to your subject without proximity effects or plosives. The handle even has a cough button. The wand telescopes to 18 inches. It's a professional condenser mic, with a button battery in the capsule housing. I included 2 new batteries, but they will last for years. It comes as the original full kit: case. capsule, wand, handle, windscreen, lavalier tie clip, lavalier lanyard and mic stand. It works in all these configurations by rearranging the conical mounting adapters. It's wired like it was when new, with an unbalanced TS mini plug. You can re-wire it for fully balanced XLR plug use by following the diagram in the manual (included). We serviced it and tested it for handling noise, wiring shorts, switch function and the important sound check. Henry Nelson Luthiery stuff might cost more than other listings, but we think it's worth it. We're not going anywhere. We stand behind our gear. We do research and accurate descriptions. We test our stuff and usually do restoration work; sometimes light, sometimes intense (read our item descriptions for details). In addition, our vintage gear holds its value, unlike new stuff. If you buy a new $400 guitar, It's only worth $240 the second you leave the store! If you buy an instrument from us, it will likely be worth more than you paid after a couple of years. We have a no-hassle return policy. The return shipping is on you, but we refund every penny you paid. Simply return it in the same condition in a timely manner.
