From the seller

The TR-909 has arrived! The Roland TR-909 Rhythm Composer has long been a staple of house and techno music. Released between 1981 and 1984 as the successor to the TR-808, its distinctive sound can still be heard in the music of various artists today. The 909 sound is virtually always included in modern drum machines, synthesizers, modules, and software instruments, making it an indispensable element in music production. Itfs the quintessential drum machine sound?truly a legendary instrument. Unlike the fully analog TR-808, the 909 employs 6-bit sampled PCM sound sources for its cymbal sounds. It adopted a hybrid approach: while the fat kick and toms, generated by analog circuits, carried on the legacy of the TR-808, the cymbals utilized digital sampling. That unique gmetallich sound produced by low-bit sampling. This distinctive sound, combined with the TR-REC sequencer, cemented its solid reputation. House and techno are genres born from the 909fs sound?they might not even exist without it. Please search for videos of Jeff Mills playing the 909 on YouTube and be sure to check them out.
