Vintage 1940's Turner C-1 model desk stand Atlas Shure Electro Voice # 1

Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at an older unique desk stand sold for about a decade during the 1940's era by The Turner Microphone Company called the C-1 and was one of roughly half a dozen desk stands sold by Turner during that time. Pic # 2 is from an old Turner advertisement showing this very model being sold with a few other Turner stands of that time. The C-1 is a highly collectible stand with a lite weight, all metal design making it a very stable platform for almost any small or medium sized microphone. Not ideal for larger mics however. The desk stand is an all aluminum design with a satin chrome finish which was unique for that era as most stands were cast iron. The design was quite modern and the C-1 has softer lines and a bit more elegant. It will compliment a Turner CD or CX nicely. Great for the Turner 22X, 22D or 33X or 33D models. The mic stand functions just as it should but as you can see there is just very lite wear. The base has just tiny chrome loss but it's free of any dents fractures. The riser shows just very lite wear as well. The mic has the universal thread on top so any screw on mic or mic clip will work with this stand. The bottom rubber pads are still present and in very nice condition. I would rate the condition a very conservative 8 on a scale of 1 - 10. Some would rate higher. The dimensions of the stand are appx 5 inches wide X 7 1/2 inches tall. MICROPHONE SHOWN IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE AND USED FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY... As with all my vintage microphones for sale...
