From the seller

The Studer A/B-67 is a professional, compact 1/4-inch analog master tape recorder produced by the Swiss manufacturer Studer between 1973 and 1982. The B-67 was designed primarily for broadcast studios and mobile recording setups, bridging the gap between heavy studio decks like the A80 and consumer machines. It was widely utilized by organizations such as the BBC before the transition to digital audio editing. It was offered in Mark I and Mark II iterations, with Mark II distinguished by vertical plastic transport bumpers. This is the Mark II • Tape Speeds: Three standard speeds—3.75, 7.5, and 15 ips (inches per second). • Format: 1/4-inch tape, two-track stereo, often outfitted with highly desirable butterfly heads. • Reel Capacity: Accommodates reels up to 10.5 inches. • Equalization: Standard CCIR, with NAB available as an option. • Weight & Build: Weighs approximately 35 kg (77 lbs) with a modular internal card architecture This machine powers on but would need to be calibrated as it has sat in storage in our recording studio since Jan 2020 when it was last used for a recording. That said, all functions seem to be working. We are selling as-is. Pickup in Skokie, IL just north of Chicago.
