A genuine late-1980s AKG C414 EB-P48 large-diaphragm condenser microphone, serial number 26889. This is the highly regarded matte-black P48 version of the classic C414, supplied with its original vintage AKG H17A all-metal shock mount. The C414 EB-P48 is a versatile studio microphone suited to vocals, acoustic instruments, guitar cabinets, piano, overheads, and a wide variety of recording applications. The capsule sounds great, and the polar-pattern, pad, and high-pass filter switches all slide smoothly and click cleanly into place. The chassis has a permanent inventory etching from a broadcast company that is no longer in operation. This is a piece of the microphone's broadcast history. The etching is on the side of the housing and faces away from the performer when the microphone is mounted on a stand.
