SSL AWS 948 — Excellent Condition, Well Looked After I’ve included a video demo, so have a look and, more importantly, have a listen! I’m parting with my SSL and a lot of other studio gear over the coming months. This AWS 948 is a shining example of what these consoles are all about. It’s been really well looked after and hasn’t seen a huge amount of use. Circumstances have changed, and that’s really the only reason I’m selling up. The desk comes with the latest firmware update and offers DAW control and integration with software such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase/Nuendo, REAPER and Ableton Live. You probably already know how special these desks are, but having one in your studio really does remind you why SSL has such a reputation. It’s an incredibly capable and flexible console, combining that classic SSL sound with a modern hybrid workflow. With 24 channels, each configurable for mono or stereo operation, it offers an impressive amount of flexibility in a relatively compact footprint. You also get the legendary SSL G-Series bus compressor, along with two additional assignable compressor/gate sections that can be routed to different channels as needed. Collection is preferred, but if that’s not practical, I’ve shipped plenty of desks, both small and large format, all over the world. To make things easier, the desk also comes with a purpose-built wooden shipping crate. A fantastic opportunity to own a very well-kept AWS 948, ready to become the centrepiece of another studio.
