Soundcraft 760 MKII (or MKI) 2" 16-Track Tape Machine - With MRL Calibration Tape & RTM 911 Please read the description and sales conditions carefully before purchasing. This unit is sold strictly AS-IS with no returns accepted. Up for sale is a classic Soundcraft 760 2-inch 16-track tape recorder, running at 15 ips. I am selling this machine because I am moving to a different setup and no longer have the time to dedicate to its maintenance. It’s an incredible machine, but it requires a bit of attention to be 100% perfect. Condition & Technical Details Mechanical Functionality: The mechanical section is in perfect working order. The tape transport is smooth, and it winds/rewinds flawlessly without any issues or jams. Heads & Power Supply: All 3 heads are in perfect condition. The power supply (PSU) works flawlessly. Modifications: The original cooling fan was extremely noisy, so I replaced it with a highly compatible, ultra-quiet modern fan. Channel 16 Note: Channel 16 was replaced with a working channel sourced from an identical donor machine. The original faulty channel card is included in the sale for parts or repair. The Known Issue The main issue with this machine comes from the remote control. Occasionally, during recording mode, the punch-in "drops out" or unlatches. I can provide a detailed video upon request to show exactly how the machine behaves during this glitch. Because of this issue and potential minor electronic calibrating needed, the machine is priced accordingly. What’s Included in the Sale Soundcraft 760 16-Track Tape Machine + Remote Control + Original Power Supply. RTM 911 2" Tape (used regularly with this machine). MRL Calibration Tape (355 nWb/m): The machine was calibrated using this tape. Please note: Track 16 on this MRL tape was accidentally erased, but all other 15 tracks are perfectly intact and functional. Spare Channel Card: The original Channel 16 card. Shipping & Sales Terms SOLD AS-IS: Due to the weight, age, and described remote control issue, absolutely no returns or refunds will be accepted. All sales are final. Shipping & Weight: The machine comes inside a heavy-duty custom hard flight case. It is extremely heavy. Shipping Costs: Shipping fees are entirely at the buyer's expense. Please contact me before purchasing or making an offer so we can calculate an accurate freight shipping quote to your location. Local pickup is also welcome. Feel free to message me with any questions or to request the video demonstrating the remote control issue!
