From the seller
The Original LA-610 (the one with the silver face and original tube configuration)
This here is tan original Universal Audio LA-610. A classic, all-tube 2U rackmount recording channel strip that combines two legendary pieces of audio history into a single front-end unit. Originally introduced in 2005, it brings together a Putnam 610 tube microphone preamplifier and an LA-2A-style, T4 electro-optical compressor. Designed to offer an authentic, harmonically rich "old-school" vintage sound. While the original LA-610 doesn’t have all of the modern Bells and Whistles of the MKII, It Does retain the authentic sound for the original 610 mic pre and the LA2A Compressor.
I marked it as "Very Good" instead of "Excellent" cuz of the cosmetics. The face isn't as clean as I'd like it, but I bought it used and it came with the marks. As far as the circuitry goes, it's Excellent. Clean and smooth. Neat piece. Selling here
General Specs & Characteristics
Preamp: Based on the classic 610 console module with high/low shelving EQ and impedance selection.
Compressor: Program-dependent T4 opto-compressor
High-Output Mic Sensitivity: Hot-output microphones (like a Neumann U87Ai) can easily push the input stage into distortion, often requiring the use of the -15dB pad.
I'm selling two of these units here on Reverb. Let's make a deal for both.
