Description: Up for sale are 10 original vintage 10.5-inch metal take-up reels for 2-inch tape. Designed for professional 2-inch multitrack analog tape machines (such as Studer A800/A827, Ampex MM-1200, Otari MTR-90, MCI JH-24, and similar decks). Reels originally held either Ampex 406 or 456 audio tape. Specifications and Details: Brand: Ampex (406 and 456) Reel Width: 2 inch (50.8 mm) Reel Diameter: 10.5 inches (267 mm) Hub Type: Standard NAB center hub, 6-screw construction Material: Precision aluminum flanges with heavy-duty center hub Condition: Used studio condition. Flanges are straight, clean, and sit flat. Screws and hub are intact. Minor cosmetic wear, some with tape/label residue consistent with normal studio use. Quantity: 10 reels are available. $50 per reel ($400 all 10).
