About This Model The Radio Shack 33-1070D is a vintage-style omnidirectional dynamic microphone manufactured/branded in association with Shure and sold through Radio Shack. Unlike the directional pickup pattern found on many modern vocal microphones, the 33-1070D uses an omnidirectional pattern, allowing it to capture sound from around the microphone rather than primarily from directly in front. Its dynamic design also makes it straightforward to use without the need for phantom power. The Radio Shack by Shure branding gives these microphones an interesting place among older audio equipment, particularly for collectors and users who appreciate vintage microphones and Radio Shack electronics.
