Neve Shelford Channel - Excellent

The Neve Shelford Channel is the RND flagship channel strip. Pre/ EQ/ Compressor/ Harmonic color. All the features are listed below. It's been well loved and maintained in just 1 studio. The condition is like new (sn# 5035-01349). I believe we got it in 2021. It looks new and includes the original box, operation manual, and IEC power cable. I recently went through and tested everything to spec with a tech at RND and full clean bill of health. Preamplifier: A Class-A transformer-gain mic preamp featuring custom-designed input and RN4012 transformers, delivering up to 72dB of gain alongside a sweepable 20Hz–250Hz high-pass filter. Inductor EQ: A custom 3-band EQ borrowing vintage topologies—the low-frequency band is inspired by the 1064, the mid-band with proportional Q by the 1073, and the high-frequency band blends vintage and modern components. Diode Bridge Compressor: Based on the classic 2254 compressor, featuring full-wave rectification, flexible timing controls, and a parallel blend knob for parallel compression. Silk & Texture: Variable Silk (Red and Blue modes) with a Texture control knob to dynamically push harmonic saturation and transformer coloration from subtle warmth to aggressive drive. Outputs: Dual-tap transformer outputs (providing standard 0dB and -6dBu taps) allowing you to drive the output stage hard for saturation without clipping downstream analog-to-digital converters. Connections: Mic input, line input, 1/4" high-Z front-panel instrument/DI input (utilizing RNDI topology), plus sidechain send/return and link capabilities.
