The rugged yet low-profile all-metal design blends into any recording environment.
Smooth, Natural Sound
The SM4 mic's dual-diaphragm capsule captures a smooth frequency response from 20Hz–20kHz. The brass material provides a warm, rich tone with tight low end and crisp highs. The capsule's large sweet spot reduces proximity effect so you have more flexibility in mic technique. The cardioid polar pattern rejects off-axis noise for superior isolation. The result is professional quality audio ready for mixing.
RF Noise Rejection
Patent-Pending Interference Shielding Technology prevents unwanted RF interference from disrupting your recordings. An integrated pop filter and mesh faraday cage shield the mic capsule from noise emitted by cell phones, laptops and Wi-Fi routers. Your tracks will be free of the buzzes, clicks and dropouts that plague many home studios.
Mix-Ready Recordings
The SM4 mic's built-in pop filter captures clean, rumble-free audio that requires little editing. You can compress, EQ and add effects without bringing up unwanted artifacts. The SM4 mic pairs with any interface for professional results in any environment. Capture vocals, acoustic guitars, drum overheads—the SM4 mic handles it all with its high 140dB SPL rating.
Road-Worthy Design
Rugged all-metal construction and a high SPL rating give the SM4 mic exceptional durability for home or studio use. The low-profile design with professional XLR connector won't obscure your performance or recording space. For superior home recordings of any sound source, the SM4 home recording microphone delivers.
