From the seller
Very reluctant sale. Stunning pair of Langevin 252A graphic equalisers. These are passive EQ's made in the 60's, heavy as hell and sound absolutely incredible. Really just wow sounding... All original, excellent condition, serviced and racked by Rob Squire / Proharmonic.
Trying to front run some questions here: Yes these are completely passive circuits, no power! You lose 12db of signal running through them, which means you run preamps or a compressor or whatever to gain it up afterwards or before. Yes there are Altec 9062A units which are exactly the same with a slightly lesser build quality.
These are the second graphic style equaliser ever made (Cinema Engineering being first) and the very same circuit as the Motown 7band graphic eq's, *except* that Motown added an tube amplifier at the end of their units to make up the gain lost in the passive design.
