1940's-50's RCA Varacoustic Ribbon Microphone (working great-hear voiced-sample)

Offering a vintage 1940's 50's RCA Varacoustic Ribbon Microphone. The RCA Varacoustic has the same ribbon motor as a 77-D/DX with a scaled down, flat-faced casing, and given the designation MI-6203. It was RCA's goal to retain that classic RCA 77 sound with physically smaller profile, and they definitely achieved that goal. Overall, the sound of these microphones has that same classic warm and smooth profile, versatile for guitars, drums, horns, vocals, and much more! (Check out the voice sample in the listing video.) Physically, the overall condition is stunning, with flawless paint, do dents or dings, nice bright RCA badge on the front, and clean intact cloth screen. The only deviation from it's original design is the slide baffle on the back which has been removed, so this mic is now continually bidirectional. A short 18" cable with male XLR plug is hardwired, and includes the heavily-weighted desk stand with the proper pipe thread adapter to accommodate the mic.
