The microphone has never been used and has been carefully stored in a professional audio production environment. The MKH 418-S is a high-end professional stereo shotgun microphone, combining Sennheiser’s renowned RF condenser technology with a versatile Mid-Side recording configuration. Designed for professional film, television, broadcast, documentary and location sound recording, it provides outstanding directional audio capture together with flexible stereo imaging. About the Microphone The MKH 418-S combines two independent microphone systems within a single compact housing. Mid (M) Channel A highly directional shotgun microphone with a supercardioid/lobar pickup pattern, providing excellent speech intelligibility and focused sound capture while reducing unwanted surrounding noise. Side (S) Channel A figure-eight microphone capsule that captures sound from both sides, providing stereo information that can be combined with the Mid signal. The independent Mid and Side signals allow stereo width to be adjusted during recording or post-production. The microphone can also be used for directional mono recording using the Mid channel alone.
