From the seller
1972 Vintage Fender Telecaster. Blonde finish with a lovely dark Rosewood fingerboard with pearl dots. Completely original. The only thing that needed to be done was the re-wiring of the original pickups done by Lindy Frailin. Receipt for the work attached. It comes with a new Fender hard case as the original is long gone. Guitar weighs about 3.8KG on my scales.
The body has gone a nice mellow white colour. There is finish checking as you would expect. Some chips in the paintwork as shown. The frets are original and in fantastic condition. Pickguard and chrome finish on all the parts are in really good condition with no tarnishing. This guitar has been really well looked after. Neck is a nice rounded 'C' and the tuners are in great condition and work perfectly. It is a loud, very resonant guitar. The sound and feel acoustically is unreal. I have 10 really good high end guitars in my collection and this is the most resonant. You can feel it right through the whole body and neck.
So why sell then? - I took this guitar in on a trade for a vintage Firebird I had. My plan was to put Jumbo frets in it and a hotter rail bridge pickup and gig the thing. But the neck is in such good original condition, I just don't think I can rip the frets out and go to the trouble of changing the electronics just to play some covers gigs.
Someone will really appreciate this vintage guitar. It's not mint, but close enough that it will appreciate in time.
