From the seller

Selling my AKG D19E, a legendary vintage dynamic microphone made in Austria in the 1960s, from my professional mixing & mastering studio, which I’m closing down. The D19 is famous from the Beatles’ Abbey Road sessions, where it was used on Ringo’s drums. Today it’s sought after as a character studio mic with a very distinctive vintage sound. I used it mainly as a character mic on drums and guitar amps. This is not a modern dynamic that tries to sound clean at all costs. Quite the opposite: it has its own colour and really shines when you don’t want yet another sterile mic. On drums it works great as a mono room mic or on individual parts of the kit. Condition Fully working and sounds great. This is the D19E with a 5-pin connector. An adapter to standard 3-pin XLR is included, so it connects to any modern preamp or interface. The 5-pin connector was replaced or repaired at some point in the past, and there are two visible solder/weld marks on the bottom (see photos). It was like this when I bought it and it has no effect on function. Cosmetically it shows the wear you’d expect from a 60-year-old microphone. Included AKG D19E microphone 5-pin to 3-pin XLR adapter Shipping Ships from Czech Republic (EU), securely boxed.
