These beautiful boys are the input transformers from a very well thought of vintage Sony mixing console / mixer. At low saturation settings (we use Logic's i/o utility for this) they add analog sweetness, polish and sheen - making everything in the mix sound better placed in the stereo field and more cohesive - all the way up to peak flattening clipping when pushed hard! In the video - I think the sweet spot for both types of music is 4 DB - but listen to the savage beauty of the guitars crushed at 12 db - freaking power and energy! Good luck getting That mojo from a plugin. The electro track also sounds sublime crushed - may be too much for some producers ... but not for this one! These transformer colour boxes are the cheapest and easiest way to get analog saturation and 3d into your daw's mix bus. Balanced jack in and out.
