From the seller

Warm Audio WA-14 new in box. From Warm Audio: The Reference Condenser The WA-14 is an authentic recreation of the ultra-rare “EB-circuit” 414-style microphone, the most truthful studio mic of all time. Ideal for capturing the natural sound of performances, the WA-14 delivers the same sonic performance of the original - a favorite of artists like The Police, Common, Freddie Mercury, and Billy Corgan. True Character & Clarity The WA-14 achieves the same sonic performance of its original “EB” inspiration, delivering clear mids, controlled bass, and accurate high-end emphasis for recordings that stay true to the original performance. For this reason, the WA-14 and the vintage original are celebrated as the ultimate "jack of all trades" mic. CK12-Style Capsule The WA-14 uses a custom all-brass, edge-terminated capsule that captures all the smoothness, rich top end, and warm vintage sonics of the original CK12 capsule. The WA-14 uses a variant CEK-12 back plate as a basis, which overcomes manufacturing limitations of the original CK12 capsule. Unlike later nylon iterations, the o-ring and housing of the capsule are all made from brass (no teflon parts), and the diaphragm is 24k gold sputtered 6-micron, NOS PET film (mylar). The end result is a very consistent, reliable capsule which matches the frequency response and tonality of the classic 1970's 414 "EB" classic capsule. Cinemag USA-Made Output Transformer The WA-14 utilizes an American-made CineMag USA transformer. CineMag has a rich history of manufacturing some of the most sought-after American-made transformers. CineMag products date all the way back to World War II (as Reichenbach Engineering) and were pivotal in creating some of the most legendary audio products in the last 100 years. This transformer helps provide the full, truthful tone that one would hope to get from a 414-style "EB" condenser microphone. Fully Discrete Signal Path The WA-14 uses a completely discrete signal path alongside its premium capsule and transformer for an undeniably analog sound & vibe. Large-Diaphragm Transformer-Balanced Condenser Microphone Polar Patterns: Cardioid, Figure-8, & Omnidirectional Output Pad: 0dB, -10dB, -20dB 3-Pin, Gold-Plated XLR Color: Black Frequency Range: 20 Hz To 20 kHz Output Impedance: 150 Ohms Self Noise: 16 dB(A) +/- 1dB Max SPL: 165 dB Sensitivity at 1000 Hz (all patterns): 9 mV/Pa Requires +48V Phantom Power
