From the seller

The BSS DPR-402 is a professional dual-channel dynamics processor that has earned a solid reputation in recording studios, broadcast facilities, and live sound systems. Known for its flexibility, reliable performance, and comprehensive control, the DPR-402 combines a fully adjustable compressor, peak limiter, and two different de-essing modes, making it a practical tool for a wide range of audio applications. Each channel features an independent compressor with adjustable threshold, ratio, attack, release, and output gain. The wide range of available settings allows everything from gentle dynamic control to aggressive compression and limiting. An Auto mode provides program-dependent attack and release characteristics, automatically adapting the compressor’s response to the incoming material for smooth and consistent results. One of the DPR-402’s strengths is its versatile de-essing section, offering both high-frequency and wideband processing. The HF de-essing mode selectively reduces problematic high frequencies while leaving the rest of the signal largely unaffected. Wideband de-essing, on the other hand, controls the entire signal when excessive high-frequency energy is detected. This makes the DPR-402 particularly useful for controlling vocal sibilance, harsh instruments, and problematic high-frequency transients. A dedicated peak limiter provides additional protection against excessive signal levels and can operate alongside conventional compression or wideband de-essing. Comprehensive LED metering displays gain reduction, input and output levels, and dynamic activity, allowing engineers to monitor processing accurately. Main Features Professional two-channel analog dynamics processor Independent compressor, limiter, and de-esser functions Fully adjustable compressor threshold, ratio, attack, release, and output gain Auto mode with program-dependent attack and release times High-frequency de-essing for selective control of problematic frequencies Wideband de-essing for broadband gain reduction triggered by high-frequency content Adjustable de-essing frequency and threshold Dedicated peak limiter for controlling excessive signal peaks Simultaneous compression and wideband de-essing with peak limiting Comprehensive LED metering for gain reduction and signal levels Sidechain monitoring for accurate adjustment of frequency-dependent processing Stereo linking for processing stereo signals Individual channel bypass controls Professional rackmount construction Serial nr.: #1008487 Excellent working condition, good visual condition, some signs of wear.
