From the seller
Avid Mbox Mini
The Avid Mbox Mini is a legacy, ultra-compact 2x2 USB audio interface designed for solo musicians, podcasters, and audio creators. Known for its robust hardware design and deep integration with Pro Tools, it served as a highly portable gateway for on-the-go studio recording.
Audio Resolution: Up to 24-bit / 48 kHz audio conversion. [1]
Simultaneous I/O: 2 inputs and 2 outputs.
Inputs: 1 XLR/TRS combo microphone/line input with a professional-grade preamp and +48V phantom power, plus 2 x 1/4" instrument DI inputs.
Outputs: 2 balanced 1/4" monitor outputs and one 1/4" stereo headphone output.
Hardware Controls: Features a dedicated monitor volume knob, a mix knob for zero-latency direct monitoring, and a front-panel mute button.
Connectivity & Power: Fully USB bus-powered, requiring no external power supply.
Important Legacy ConsiderationsBecause this hardware was introduced in 2010, there are a few crucial factors to keep in mind if you are looking to purchase or use one today:
Driver & OS Compatibility: Standalone drivers are archived by Avid Support. However, because it is an older USB 1.1/2.0 class device, it may require specific workarounds or legacy driver installations on modern Windows and macOS operating systems.
Software Flexibility: While originally bundled with Pro Tools, its multi-client ASIO, Core Audio, and WDM drivers allow it to work with other modern DAWs like Logic, Ableton Live, Cubase, and Reaper
